Starting in October 2024, we had our first meet-and-greet with the Mount Vernon Radio Club. The first presentation was by Ed N2EC, who talked about POTA and shared some insights on how it works. This month, November 23, 2024, Ken W4RUS discussed Winlink and provided insights into how Winlink originated, including a bit of history on its past usage. We had a great turnout for both events. With excellent presentations, we plan to hold these sessions every fourth Saturday after breakfast at 10:30 a.m. This is a way to motivate our members to learn new things at informal get-togethers. If you are interested in our club or amateur radio, please feel free to join us! Everyone is welcome. If you’d like to attend one of these events, don’t hesitate to contact our Club Secretary for the location, which is subject to change. You can also join our member group. You’ll be updated with our club members, and if you can’t attend, you’ll receive a Zoom link to join in our fun.
