Coffee stop in downtown Culpeper, Virginia, Fulton Moto is part motorcycle gear shop, part espresso bar, and part hangout for the local riding crowd.

About Fulton Moto
Fulton Moto sits at 107 S. East Street, just off East Davis Street in downtown Culpeper. It was started by two Culpeper locals, Eric Fulton and Dos Allen. In 2024, they began hosting a small Bikes & Coffee meetup, and it grew quickly. They noticed the area had plenty of riders but no real place for them to gather, so they built one. The shop calls itself part gear shop, part speakeasy, part event space and part clubhouse.
The shop occupies the renovated ground floor of a historic Masonic Lodge building. The low-ceilinged brick space keeps its original masonry, which pairs well with the vintage bikes, helmets and riding gear on display. There’s a full espresso bar in the back, and the shop still hosts its Bikes & Coffee meetups for local riders.
A little Culpeper history
Culpeper’s roots go back to colonial Virginia. In 1749, a 17-year-old George Washington became the county’s first surveyor, and in 1759 the town was officially established around the courthouse. During the Civil War, both Union and Confederate armies passed through and occupied the town at different times. Confederate General A.P. Hill grew up at the corner of Main and Davis streets. After the Orange and Alexandria Railroad arrived in 1853, Culpeper became a regional transportation hub.
Most of downtown’s 19th- and early 20th-century buildings are part of the Culpeper Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. In 2011 the American Planning Association named East Davis Street one of America’s Great Places. It’s a great street for wandering, with lots of shops and restaurants, and Fulton Moto is a fun place to start.
