The weather finally turned cool this week, and it had me going back through some old fall photos. These are from a few different trips over the years, and I had to share them.
The first two are from October 2010. Katy and I were driving the Blue Ridge Parkway near Buena Vista, Virginia, and pulled over at an overlook. The sassafras right at the edge had turned orange, and you could see out across the valley for miles.

Two days later we stopped at Natural Bridge. The leaves were already covering the old stone steps and the trail, and one tree off to the side had turned bright red.

This one of Katy is from a walk in November that same year, when the trees had all turned yellow.

And here’s a fall setup with pumpkins, mums, and a scarecrow.

The leaves around here are just starting to turn. Where do you like to go to see the fall colors? Let me know in the comments.
