ARRL’s fall School Club Roundup runs next week, October 19 to 23, from 1300 UTC Monday to 2359 UTC Friday. It is an operating event built to get school radio clubs on the air, from elementary schools all the way up to colleges, though individual hams and non-school clubs can join in too. Stations swap call sign, signal report, entry class, and state, province or DXCC entity.

Schools are worth chasing: each school you work adds five to your multiplier, and each club adds two. Stations can count up to 24 hours of operating, and every entry gets a certificate. A few contacts might make a student’s day.
