Selling a radio on eBay? New FCC rules that took effect October 13 require sellers of equipment that needs FCC authorization to supply an FCC ID, which gets posted with the listing, and eBay has started restricting radio listings to match. The good news: eBay told ARRL that gear able to operate only on amateur frequencies does not need an FCC ID. Two-way VHF/UHF radios that can transmit outside the ham bands still need FCC certification.

If eBay restricts a listing for ham gear by mistake, contact eBay and ask for a review. The FCC’s own equipment authorization rules have not changed.
